I was totally unaware of the “rewilding” movement until you posted on my blog… thanks. While my aim through EG is to guide the masses in small steps towards self sufficnece and not give up the trappings of society just yet, I have been preping myself mentally for the crash since I was 15, 3 years ago. And while alternatives to shaving are really not important in the grand scheme of things, the more people whom we plant the seeds of change in, the better off we will be.

Thanks for your comment, engelfluglen.
I totally agree.
I definitely believe in mental prepping. I did a lot of that myself before I ever started experimenting with primitive technologies.
For me, it doesn’t really even amount to giving up the trappings so much as getting ready for a way of life that will not involve them either (1) by choice [like starting an intentional tribe] or (2) by force [with the crash of civilization].

Pretty cool stuff. I think for re-wilding to be truly successful there has to be fewer people roaming the Earth. Global population is set to skyrocket in the coming decades.
